Dallas

Mention Dallas, and people may at first think of J. R. Ewing or the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders. Perhaps the oil industry, Ross Perot or even Neiman Marcus will come to mind. The "Big D" as Dallas is often called, in actuality has come to represent what is now known as the "Metroplex." The term refers to what has often been called the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area.

More than just a city of big money and big shopping, Dallas is a city of contrasts. At once down-home and dynamic, there are places that go from boots to suits and you can eat everything from barbeque to haute cuisine. This traditional town has a strong progressive streak and manages to create a beautiful and productive balance of cultures, ideas and viewpoints.
